  • AN OPINION WITHOUT FACTS, IS STUPIDITY WITH ARROGANCE AT THE SAME TIME!

Well I spend most of my life in Indonesia, exactly in Bandung city, the origin of Pencak Silat. I can guarantee you, it's one step to useless. there are too many useless movements, looks like a dance, and it's too slow. The only thing that makes it "strong" is the black magic. When you're advance, you'll be taught and given black magics. What I can say is that power of black magic doesn't have to do with Pencak Silat, even someone who doesn't really know anything about martial arts could learn black magic.

When we're talking about how good a 'martial art' is, we can't include magics and weapons, coz it would be unfair. unless if we wanna compare 2 martial arts which both of em use weapons, for example Kungfu's sword techniques and Iaijutsu's sword techniques.

The proof that Pencak Silat isn't good is:

Indonesian military used to train Pencak Silat, but nowadays they replace it with Karate, Boxer Tarung Drajat (this one is also made by Indonesian but it's far better than Pencak Silat, at least it's much more effective because there's not much useless moves here), and some other types of martial arts. If they remove those useless moves, Pencak Silat might be better, but it's impossible to do that because those movements are the essence for Pencak Silat.

It's like comparing Kungfu with Karate. Karate came from Kungfu, but what makes Karate better than Kungfu is that Karate threw away the useless movements (like the dancing, spinning, jumping, and animal moves without any clear purpose) so it makes Karate more effective than Kungfu (less move, less energy, focus on the real target, and always try to do "1 hit KO").
